In Episode 119, Keith and Justin sit down with the members of the band, The Grandfather. The guys discuss the band’s newest EP series, and how the unstable/disorienting aspects of their lives fueled their dark lyrics and tone. We talk about the move from Florida to North Carolina, and how leaving their families has affected them personally. The guys reveal the stressful way that the EPs were recorded, and how it relationally affected the band. They also discuss the roles of faith and doubt in writing these EPs, and how it may be good to live in a type of unresolved tension. We had an absolute blast talking with these guys, so be sure to listen in! In the beginning, the guys talk about Keith’s new workout schedule, Justin laments over leg day and high-metabolism hunger, and they both discuss how their NCAA brackets are worthless. In the end, the guys wrap up the show by giving their final thoughts, and we also talk about Darcy’s newest mail that he sent to us! As always, be sure to comment, rate, and subscribe to the podcast.
