Episode 126 - Seminary Trouble: Three Perspectives on Studying Religion in Higher Education

In Episode 126, Keith and Justin are joined once again by their friend Robbie as they discuss the pros and cons of seminary education. What is the point of going to seminary? Is it worth it? What’s the difference between seminary and divinity school? Should religious education be non-sectarian or denominationally ordered? What are each of our experiences of studying religion in college and graduate school? We all have very different opinions, so be sure to listen in and let us know what you think! In the beginning, the guys talk about evangelical church culture, and ask if “being relevant” is really just a marketing gimmick. Finally, the guys haphazardly close the show by discussing what’s going to be cut in the episode, and Robbie and Keith discuss Fantasy Football for way too long (not that I’m biased, or anything ). As always, be sure to comment, rate, and subscribe to the podcast. Let us know what you think!
