Episode 135 - Living Openly: Positive and Negative Reactions to Identity Announcements

In Episode 135, Keith and Justin discuss what it means to reveal one's identity, and how others can react to it. We discuss the ways in which one can identify oneself, either in positive, or present, terms and traits or negative, or absent, attributes. We also discuss the ways in which we can react to others, in terms of support or reproach, and how these reactions shape and color our everyday interactions and relationships with others. We also discuss what these means within the world of Christianity as we investigate the various ways that people have identified themselves within the tradition (either by claiming Christianity or rejecting it), and how the Church has commonly reacted to these declarations of (un)belief. There's some really interesting discussion in this segment, so be sure to tune in! In the beginning, the guys (+ Darcy) discuss Justin's recent time in the pulpit, and whether the weather will get the better of us. We are then once again joined by Darcy Rumble from Giants in the Sound AND Cory Lanza from the Grandfather as we officially review and discuss their newest EP, Mindful. It's an extended GITS segment, so be sure to listen in! Finally, the guys wrap up a long show by giving their final (sleepy) thoughts. As always, be sure to comment, rate, and subscribe to the podcast! Let us know what you think!
